“Nature is the art of God” wrote Ralf Waldo Emerson, illustrating the magic of Nature as being art in itself, in essence, beautifully and effortlessly. Looking back through the history of art created by the human species, from the very first drawings found in prehistoric caves to some of the most illustrious paintings of all times, doesn’t it seem that, in its vast majority, art has been our species eternal attempt to try to replicate nature? From the beginning of times, animal species with their display of vibrant colors and patterns, feathers and furs, and nature as a whole, have been patiently teaching our species the basics of art.
I agree that our art is endeavoring to recreate nature in some profound way. Color, texture, design, light, depth, shape. All of it mimics nature—the ultimate Da Vinci!
