I’m feeling the need for a new book circle. The leaves are falling, the air is getting crisp, and there are days now that are whispering, “Stay inside with some tea today…”
The book I am proposing is one that truly changed my life, my perspective, and my relationship with the natural world. Honest. There are few books out there that have really transformed me, and this is one of them. If you read it, you can’t help but be inspired and transformed (for the better), too.
Our new circle would last seven weeks, beginning November 1st. We’ll read two chapters a week (they are short), and post comments at our own convenience, weekly.
The name of the book is “Reconnecting with Nature,” by Michael Cohen. And it does that—reconnects you in a way I can’t explain, but am humbled by, and in awe of.
The cost of the circle will be $30, which includes two conference calls with the whole group. If you are interested, write to me, or leave a comment at the end of this post. We need a group of at least 10 to make this a going concern. If we get a nice-sized group, I’ll email you all the particulars, including where and how to send payment. Come on! Time for some good reading and sharing with a good group of kindred spirits!
Susan
You can definitely count me in! Would really like to see this take off. Seems like the next natural step for your followers, so I would encourage others to join as well!
Cindy, our last circle was fun and very educational in terms of what works and doesn’t. I really enjoy these book circles, and getting to know some of our kindred spirits better. This book is one I am very excited to read again and share with a group. Cohen’s work is unique, and I’ve borrowed from him heavily in my own writings. Glad to have you aboard this one!
Count me in, I just recently found you and this sounds like fun!
I have actually jut discovered your site – i am just finishing the tao of equus by linda kohanove and found you through it.
so…count me in too!
Count me in!
Not the timing for me this time, Susan. Big things afoot in my world for the next while. Hopefully this goes well and I can join in the next one. Have fun!
Susan,
would love to join! I’m in a rural area so it’s been hard to find and join a circle. This sounds like just the one for me!

Hi Susan,
The book sounds wonderful, I’d love to join in!
Pam
Oh, this is so wonderful! We have a group, and are still adding! Thanks to all of you for taking this journey with me. I found out from a kindred spirit that Cohen has an updated version of Reconnecting with Nature, so, if you get the book from Amazon, or from his website at http://www.ecopsych.com, get the one with the GREEN COVER. I haven’t read that one myself, so will be new to the book just like the rest of you. Can’t wait! This is such a great way to step into a new season. Again, a heartfelt “welcome aboard” to all!
Susan I’ve just ordered the book. I will certainly miss the first coupla weeks, but I’m going to read it along with you anyway! Send me the details and I’ll join in. I’m gonna need a sense of community in these next months!
Yay, Kerry!! It’s perfectly fine if you jump in late. We’re just happy to have you aboard!
Just ordered my book on Amazon! Looking forward to the details.
Hugs,
D.B.
